CWORKS NEWS :
CWorks Systems Berhad and Business & Advanced Technology Centre (BATC), University Technology Malaysia opens up windows of opportunity in Maintenance Industry, collaborating in delivering ‘Executive Diploma in Maintenance Management’.
In another exciting and innovative move from
CWorks in order to cultivate the importance and
urgency of “maintenance culture” across various
industries and government sectors, today
announced its latest collaboration with BATC-UTM
in delivering an innovative and experience based
learning programme, specifically in the areas of
maintenance management.
This collaboration has developed an innovative
programme known as “Executive Diploma in
Maintenance Management”. The course was designed
by maintenance practitioners for maintenance
practitioners and it meets the needs of area
industries by focusing on different maintenance
philosophies, strategies, and work processes, as
well as the latest maintenance management tools.
The course can considerably improve the ability
to reduce downtime, predict maintenance trends,
minimize unexpected breakdowns, increase the
life-cycle of your assets and ensure optimal
operation levels.
With the introduction of this long overdue
Maintenance Management program in Malaysia,
CWorks-BATC is making a path to set a platform
for an enhancement in the delivery of
maintenance services within the industry. This
program also introduces better opportunity for
maintenance providers to be equipped with latest
knowledge and best practices in maintenance
management. It also opens up windows of career
opportunity for maintenance people to be able to
compete into the managerial ladder like any
other discipline within an organization.
CWorks aspiration to spread awareness and
knowledge of Good Maintenance Practices through
education was initiated this year in this
collaboration with BATC-UTM. Apart from the
revenue generated through this collaboration,
CWorks is also expected to gain benefits from
students who are now being introduce with CWorks
CMMS as the Maintenance System tool applied in
the program. Though, the Executive Diploma
Program has been commissioned middle of this
year, the program is expected to realize full
impact in year 2008.
Commissioned in June 2007, the program is
currently being conducted in Kuala Lumpur under
supervision of BATC-UTM. The program comprises
of 12 modules and is being conducted 1 module
per month over weekend. Suitable for working
people who want to earn a diploma and further
their knowledge in maintenance, this whole
program would take 12 months period for
completion. This program is also claimable via
HRDF and EPF. Bank loan facility is also
provided for those who needed financial
assistance. For detail information on the
program, please email to

Abdul Rani Ahmed, CEO of CWorks, said, "Unlike
some other courses, which take a more
theoretical approach, the emphasis of this
programme will be very much on how to implement
maintenance management techniques in work and
other real-world environments to bring about
change, and we believe that this will further
enhance the attractiveness of the program."
