DUPLICATE WORK
In operations where there are is a clear division
of responsibilities between operations and maintenance,
requests for repairs and maintenance can be coming
through many channels such as calling to the nearest
maintenance person available or calling on the phone
or even emailing to the maintenance department.
But these requests may be duplicates of previous
requests because of factors such as no communications
between the requestors, requestor not informed of
status, impatience etc. Each respond to request
takes time. Reducing duplicate requests, increases
resource available time.
CWorks CMMS comes with automatic prompts that highlights
if a work order has been open for a particular asset
or location. By studiously informing the CWorks
operator of every request received, the CWorks operator
may help reduce time wastage by giving feedback
on requests that are duplicated.
